Vacation Drink Of The Day: Peach Mango Summer Sangria

Summer vacation season is still very much in full swing headed into August. I wanted to share something fun to do if you are headed to vacay with a group of people.

We traveled to the Outerbanks in North Carolina last month with some of Stephen’s family.  I suggested to the group to do a ‘Drink Of The Day’ for this trip and it turned out to be a hit!

How To Do It

What I suggest is adding up the number of days you will be on vacay.  Then make a list of all the cocktails you’d like to try for each day.  You can go theme’ed, ex. – Monday Mojitos, Sunday Sangria, etc.  or just pick things off your Pinterest board that you’ve been interested in.

If you are going with a group, ask other couples or individuals if they want to go in with you on this so you can “spread the love” per-say. 😀

The idea is:  Everyone picks a ‘Drink of the Day’ to make for the group.  When late afternoon comes around and it’s “your day”, whip up a couple pitchers of your fun cocktail.  We made enough so everyone could enjoy a couple each evening.

Everyone really looked forward each day to see what “Drink of the Day” would be served.  My favorite cocktail that we made was Peach Mango Sangria.  SO good!  I recommend making this at least one day prior to serving so all the goodness and flavor can really ‘marinate’ – if you know what I mean!  😉  Don’t forget to pack at a couple plastic pitchers to use for “Drink of the Day” which will make everything a ton easier.

Here is the recipe that I used for the best Peach Mango Sangria.  I can tell you that I did not use the peach or mango nectar and substituted it with sugar (maybe 1/2 to 3/4 cup) and it still turned out fab.
