I’m borrowing this concept from another blogger because I like to read what other people have on their wish lists this time of the year. It can give you a little inspiration for the hard-to-buy individuals. I love the idea of want, need, wear & read because it makes for a well rounded-list.
Here are our ‘Want, Need, Wear & Read’ Lists for all the members of our immediate family!
WANT: Radio Flyer 4-in-1 Stroll-n-Trike. These trikes are so popular and I know why. They grow with your child — 4 ways to ride: infant trike, steering trike, learn-to-ride trike and classic trike.
NEED: Table & Chairs set. We’ve spent a good deal of time in the pediatrician’s office over the past few months (hopefully less ear infections, thanks to our new set of tubes we got Monday – fingers crossed!) but Emerson always likes to sit at the table/chairs sets and play with the toys. I feel like a table & chairs set will get lots of use for years to come.
WEAR: Emerson loves to take off his shoes, so I wanted to get him a pair of suede, lace-up boots that would be warm and wouldn’t get pulled off as easily. Gap Kids had a 50% off the entire store on Black Friday so I scooped up this suede pair.
READ: We are always on the hunt for more books to add to our collection. Here are few that he may be receiving on 12/25.
WANT: minimalist wallet – Stephen often gets annoyed with his wallet when he is sitting down. I’ve heard this minimalist wallet is the “ultimate man gift” and you cannot feel this wallet in your pocket at all when you’re sitting down, it fits 8 cards plus cash and comes with 12 built in tools (bottle opener, tool driver, wrenches and flathead screw driver). Hope it’s all he’s ever dreamed of!
NEED: White undershirts – such a mom’s gift, I know but he seriously wears through these every-day types of items and they get dingy!
WEAR: He mentioned recently that he really wished that his mid-weight North Face (not the fleece kind but kind of a smooth fabric) was waterproof for when it rains. He didn’t want a thin rain coat with a hood either. Hoping this Columbia Softshell Jacket does the trick.
READ: Still working on this one — any suggestions friends?! If there are any guys out there that happen to read this 🙂 or if your guy has read anything lately he’s really enjoyed – send ideas on!
WANT: Patagonia Pull-Over (been on the want list for a while haha) and this wine tumbler with a lid (would be a really fun gift for one of your wine-loving girlfriends!)
NEED: a few new workout tops & bottoms. I have worn mine out over the last few years and this is always last on my list of items to shop for. I wait until Old Navy runs a sale and pick up a few things at 40%-50% off.
WEAR: I wouldn’t have asked for this ten years ago, but I’m interested in a cozy robe for getting ready in the mornings in. Something easy to throw on on the weekends.
READ: I gifted the Emily Ley – A Simplified Life – Tactical Tools for Intentional Living book to myself, LOL. It’s an Amazon best seller right now and I’ve read really good things about it. I also would like a new bible, maybe one that is a coloring kind like this one?
