End of Year WI Trip & NYE

wisconsin-2017-01

Two days after Christmas, Emerson and I took a quick trip to visit my family in Wisconsin.  My sister, Amy, and her daughter Valentina were visiting from Brazil and we were glad to be able to have a chance to let the cousins meet for the first time.  Emerson and Valentina hit it off and Emerson only crashed through Valentina’s knick knack collections and hug attacked her a few times. 😉  Overall they played really well together and it was sweet.

We visited the cutest play place for kids 6 & under in Racine called The Nest.  I highly recommend checking it out if you have littles in the area.  Lots of rooms of play things, in little stations.  Everything was super adorable, bright and soft.

Right up in the middle of everything with the big girls!

Back at home, the kids had tons of toys to play with on two levels of the house.  Daily they pulled everything out making it look like a tornado had just blown through.  Here’s big E hanging with Grandpa Jim.

It snowed two of the days that we were in Wisconsin.  Emerson loves the snow!  He kept running down the driveway, with only a few wipeouts, LOL.

Here we are at the airport, waiting on our flight home.  Key to keeping a toddler happy at the airport – all the snacks!

For a little end of the year fun, here is my #2017bestnine pics from my Instagram account – themasthouse.

After flying back to NC on the afternoon of New Years Eve, we went to hang out with our friends – the Dammans.  Emerson and Hallie were wide open, per the usual!  They are pretty hilarious together.

We attempted taking some NYE pics with masks and horns.  You can see how well that went, haha!  The dads were working hard to get their attention, but well, you know how that goes…. 🙂

We wrapped up the fun around 8 p.m. when the babes were getting whiny and headed back to our house.  I’m not going to lie – I was probably in bed by 9:45 p.m. – but hey, I’m pregnant – so I have a good excuse!

We are excited for all that 2018 has to bring!

xoxo,

Mallory
