We’re pretty close to being done with Emerson’s big boy room so I thought I’d go ahead and give you a peek at what it looks like. He moved down the hall and was upgraded to a more age-appropriate rustic/nautical toddler room. ⚓️ We are really happy with how it’s turned out so far.
(I’ll link up some of the items at the bottom of this post.)
I almost went with all white furniture but kinda glad I didn’t so it would be able to grow with him and look a little more masculine. I like the mix-match look. The crib is a convertible 5-in-1 so he will be able to transition to toddler then full size later on.
Most of the small nautical/traveler decor pieces were from his original room in the nursery down the hall. We didn’t want to completely re-do the theme of his room, so we re-worked it in this space. He uses his little table & chairs set ALL the time.
Below the fish decor, I’d like to add a soft Pottery Barn Harper Anywhere Chair for reading. This is what it looks like when the toy tornado hasn’t exploded from the closet. 😉 His closet is pretty deep which allowed me to add several storage shelves that help with containing all the toys.
I can see adding a few more white framed photo prints over his bed, but will probably wait to use a few with little sis in them!
rug // crib // white table & chairs set // dresser – is solid wood & awesome, but I bought it locally at consignment shop // lamp – Target from a few years ago // decor pieces – some are thrift, consignment, hobby lobby or made
On to Elliott’s nursery flip next! She is getting Emerson’s old nursery which will be pretty easy, as the footprint and big furniture pieces will stay the same. Most of the work that will go on in her room includes adding a little bit of a girly touch with decor and then going through and sorting all the baby items that have been stored in the basement. We are getting a head start on it this weekend, because as I type this I’m watching snowflakes fall out my window!!! Isn’t it supposed to be April in a few days?!
xoxo,
