What I’m Loving Wednesday

Hi friends!  I thought I’d throw a quick “What I’m Loving Wednesday” post at you.  I feel like I have a handful of things that I’ve been loving lately that I feel are too good not to share.  Here goes:

1  //  Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Gnocchi

We eat pretty healthy most of the time so I’m always on the hunt for healthy, delicious, easy dinner options.  (and hey, it is bathing suit season!)  We are avid Trader Joe’s fans and they knocked it out of the park with this one.  Their cauliflower gnocchi is awesome!  I don’t know how they make it taste this good, but it is.  Add it to your list of TJ’s must-tries!  We also love their cauliflower fried rice and their regular vegetable fried rice.

2  //  Crease-Less Hair Ties

Random find, but a good one.  I hate when my pony tail holder gives my hair a crease when I take my hair down.  These crease-less hair ties solve that!

3  //  Set It Up – Netflix Movie

In desperate need of a break from the office, two beleaguered assistants team up to trick their workaholic bosses into falling in love.  This movie is super cute.  Guys & girls will think it’s a thumbs up.

4  //  Parents visiting this weekend!

My parents are visiting from Wisconsin this weekend!  I’m super excited about it.  They haven’t met little Elliott yet and haven’t seen Emerson since December.  We have a handful of things planned as options to do including splash pad, a trip to Lexington for some BBQ and potentially Childress Vineyard, a quick trip to Seagrove to look at pottery and the Kaleieum Children’s Museum in Winston-Salem.

5  //  The Kind Worth Killing

On a night flight from London to Boston, Ted Severson meets the stunning and mysterious Lily Kintner.  Sharing one too many martinis, the strangers begin to play a game of truth, revealing very intimate details about themselves.  Ted talks about his marriage that’s going stale and his wife Miranda, who he’s sure is cheating on him.  But their game turns a little darker when Ted jokes that he could kill Miranda for what she’s done.  Lily, without missing a beat, says calmly, “I’d like to help.” After all, some people are the kind worth killing, like a lying, stinking, cheating spouse. . . .

Back in Boston, Ted and Lily’s twisted bond grows stronger as they begin to plot Miranda’s demise.  But there are a few things about Lily’s past that she hasn’t shared with Ted, namely her experience in the art and craft of murder, a journey that began in her very precocious youth.  Suddenly these co-conspirators are embroiled in a chilling game of cat-and-mouse, one they both cannot survive . . . with a shrewd and very determined detective on their tail.

This was a page turner!  Go pick it up!

6  //  Back at Jazzercise this week!

I taught my Jazzercise classes up until week 37 of this pregnancy.  I actually taught until week 40 when I was pregnant with Emerson, but decided to give myself a little grace this time around and duck out a little early.  😉  I was given the all-clear by my doc to work out again last week so started back today with taking classes as a student.  It felt SO good to get back at it and get that super sweat on.  I’ve been walking daily this past month, but I was really looking forward to getting back to class and getting that aerobic and strength training again.  I’m going to try and hit 2-3 classes a week while on maternity leave.  I’d love to start teaching again at some point in September, but that will be dependent on Miss Elliott and if I can swing the times I usually teach by that point.  Want to know what a class looks like?  Check out a video here:

7  //  Bagged Salad Kits

We love these easy kits that you can find at basically any grocery store.  I’ve found them anywhere from Harris Teeter, Trader Joe’s to Food Lion.  The kits contain everything you need to create a salad, from the lettuce mix, dressing to any bits and pieces (think bacon, nuts, cranberries, etc) to complete the salad.  You know I hate to cook and these are EASY.  Most are only a few bucks and can even make a quick lunch or a good dinner side or entree if you add a protein.

8  //  Elliott turned one month old last week!

Our sweet girl turns ONE month old last week and I can’t believe it’s flown by this quickly!  She loves to cuddle, be held and lets her brother kiss and hold her but we have to watch out for trucks that may land on her!  Her eyes are blue 💙 right now like mine, but only time shall tell if they stay that way.  She enjoys going for our daily walks and taking naps with mama in the afternoons.  She’s a good errand runner and took her first trip to the pool last weekend.  We are totally in love with this little lady!

also, just love this:
