My parents came to visit us this past long weekend from Wisconsin! We packed in a lot of fun things over four days. Here is a little recap of their visit:
Elliott and I picked them up from the airport around lunchtime on Friday. We stopped and ate a quick lunch at McCallisters. Big Grandpa Jim makes Miss E look so small!
We picked up Emerson from his school a little before nap time ended and rode over to Winston-Salem’s Kaleidium Children’s Museum. He loved running from room to room to check out all the exhibits.
Stephen met us for dinner at J Peppers in Kernersville.
Saturday morning we ran to the park and let Emerson “get his wiggles out”.
After an early nap, we rode to Lexington to hit up Lexington BBQ and Lexington Candy Store.
We rode back to Kernersville and stopped in The Brewer’s Kettle for as long as we could tolerate the heat in the shade and under a fan.
How about the cheeks on my littlest baby?! She gets it honest. 😉
Sunday we went to one of Emerson’s favs – the splash pad!
We laid low on Monday before I drove Grandma and “Paw Paw”, as Emerson fondly called my dad, to the airport. It gets harder and harder to say goodbye. Some day soon maybe they’ll move south! We had a great visit and can’t wait to see them again!
