We took our kiddos to our town’s Honeybee Festival last Saturday. It was a hot day, per the usual for August in North Carolina, but we got to the festival right when it opened at 10 a.m. They rode the ponies (both my kids love it!). Emerson rode the ferris wheel twice with both his daddy and me and he was CRAZY about it! Hands up, eyes lit up and shrieking with excitement. They rode a few other things and we all got our fill of ‘fair food’ and headed up before afternoon naps. It was a ton of fun.
I’ve been looking for a pair of high-waisted distressed jean shorts for awhile, and this pair from Target is a winner! Plenty of room in the thighs for a good fit. They have absolutely no stretch to them, and run a bit small so be sure to size up at least one size. The reviews are helpful too.
Easy activity for little boys. Someone sent me this idea on Instagram, so I can’t take full credit for it, but I set up some super simple paper tunnels on the kids table and Emerson spend quite a bit of time driving all his vehicles through these recently. Just sharing the idea!
We have family photos scheduled to be taken in the middle of September and I’m already gathering outfit combinations as options. Does this take anyone else FOREVER to come up with? It doesn’t help that it could be 90 degrees here or 60, so I always have to have options. I always lean towards something a bit less “warm weather-y” because these are typically the pics we use for our annual family Christmas card. The location for the photos is still TBD, but I’ve got a short list of ideas that are scenic. Any suggestions? Last year we took them at Old Salem in Winston-Salem.
These memes are totally different but both speak to me!
