Mama Confessions: Soon-To-Be Three Under Age Four

I did a post similar to this back when I was pregnant with Elliott.  You can read it here.

Here are a few things that are on my mama brain:

We are not nervous about going from two to three the way we were nervous about going from one to two

The last time I wrote about adding a baby to the mix, I was all nervous about “how to spread my love two days when I already have so much love for one”, which is comical to me now.  We feel like veterans at this point and the idea of bringing into a newborn into the house sounds easier than keeping up with a 3.5 year old and almost two year old!  We are definitely in baby-mode, per-say, where we have been in the thick of baby and toddler world.

Mama is tired

This has been one heck of a year to be pregnant!  Like everyone, I’ve rode the emotions wave over the course of the year, and add in some pregnancy hormones and you are in for a fun ride!  Also, I’m to the point in this pregnancy where I’m 24/7 tired and fatigued.  It’s summer, I’m hot.  Let’s not forget that I’ve been pregnant three times in a four year span!  Pregnancy is a true gift, but I never want to discount the fact that it is a long ride.

I can’t wait to watch the dynamics unfold

My prediction:  Emerson is super helpful and caring.  Elliott is interested at first, but a bit rough.  Then could care less after the newness of baby wears off.  We’ve been practicing with Elliott and her baby dolls and she’s not quite as rough as she used to be!  Emerson was 20 months when Elliott was born, and Elliott will be 25 months when Landon is born.  Either way, I know that the three of them will be so close in age that they will likely be thick as thieves in the coming years!

We are creeping into July and July is the month I’m *hoping* turns out to be ‘baby month’ for us!  Getting close!
