Ok, hi y’all! I am going to try to do a better job of capturing more day-to-day life vs. just holidays. I have started making a habit of carrying my camera with me on ordinary occasions.
Stephen was with his mom’s side of the family two weekends ago helping his mama move out her her mountain house. She has an accepted offer on a house on the other side of Greensboro now, so we are very excited that she will be an easy driving distance from us! I had all three kids that weekend and I made do. We had two soccer games that weekend. Stephen’s dad, step mom, sister Lauren and niece Scarlett came to the games. Elliott enjoyed the extra side-line attention and a double dose of Kona Ice both days.

Little sideline cheerleader here. I won’t tell you that she doesn’t step on to the field occasionally, beg to go to the playground or get an icee mid-game, but she is the cutest little Emerson cheerer there is!

We were excited to participate in our school’s Trike-a-thon to raise funds for the wonderful St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Thank you to our family for sponsoring us! Thanks to donors, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food β because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

We only have one more soccer game for this spring season. We have a weekend off and then it’s our final game! Emerson has learned a lot this season and made us proud. This was his first time playing. A lot of these kids have been playing two seasons a year since age two. He was also moved up to the 6 and under group because he was so tall. He made us really proud last weekend with some extra hustle. Hopefully he wants to pick it back up in the fall.

What else is new?
Stephen and I have started running some. We have so little time, honestly, and now that we have more daylight, it’s doable to throw on shoes in the middle of the work day and go for a few mile run. We don’t run together, but we run the same route. We are doing just under 3 miles.
As little free time as I just told you that I have, I am starting back to horse riding again! As a commitment to myself, I wanted to carve out some more Mallory time. π Especially considering I’ve been pregnant for years! I am taking lessons a few times a month at a hunter jumper barn. I’m beyond ecstatic to open that chapter of my life again.
Coming up, we have some yard work – mulch loads to be delivered, pine needles, flowers, etc. There are a handful of house projects we are tinkering with. We have Landon’s baby dedication at church on May 16, which I am really looking forward to. I’ll share more then.
We have several vacations booked this year that we are very much looking forward to! We have an adults-only FL vacay booked, a cabin trip to Boone, NC and another late fall week in Pigeon Forge, TN. Our neighborhood pool will open Memorial Day weekend and we always get a ton of use out of that. A beach trip would be cool, but we shall see. Definitely next summer. Lot’s to look forward to. I’ll try to share more often!
xx,
Mallory
