We just got back on Monday from our Tennessee mountain vacation. It was a whirlwind, but such a great trip! Let’s dive right in!
We stayed in a wonderful house that was about 20 minutes from both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The house had lots of amenities, including a game room floor, hot tub, private indoor pool, theater room and more. We were able to entertain ourselves very well on-property. I won’t say that vacationing with three under five was the most relaxing vacay ever, but it was entertaining. Or, we kept the kids well entertained, let’s call it that. 😉
A few of the things we enjoyed on the trip included:
Pigeon Forge Snow –
Indoor snow tubing all year round. Hot or cold, rain or shine, Pigeon Forge Snow stays open year round – with REAL SNOW that never melts away. It is fun for all ages, from little ones to teens to parents. It’s always 60-70 degrees inside, so you won’t even need to bring your parka! There is a hillside of tubing and a snow play area. My kids were fearless and I was super surprised Elliott wasn’t scared. She barely made the height requirement. She is pretty fearless, because the hill is fast!
Over two different day trips to Pigeon Forge (The Island), we rode the Ferris wheel, many rides, bumper cars, mirror maze, ate several places and more. Our kids could go and go and go in this spot. So much for them to want to do.
We celebrated Emerson’s fifth birthday on the trip. Grandpa Doug treated him to a build-your-own racecar experience.
Emerson had the time of his life at @ridemakerz creating the red race car of his dreams! 🚗 Can you see the actual joy on his face?!!
My mother-in-law was kind enough to snap this pic from our balcony one morning. The view is even better once the fog burns off.
Towards the end of the trip we headed into Gatlinburg for a day. First stop was Ripley’s Aquarium, which is great for all ages. So much to offer in an indoor attraction. We did this early in the day before the weather warmed up outside.
Last but definitely note least …
❗️Most Wanted By The FBI❗️$25,000 Reward for Information Leading to the Arrest and Conviction of Al Capone and his gang. Considered dangerous. Do not try to apprehend! 💰 I have always wanted to take old timey pics! My kids are too much in these. 😂😂😂 Zoom in to get all the full personality expressions.
What a wonderful trip! The kids will have so many memories from it!
